King Soopers is a United States based grocery store chain that first opened in 1924 Colorado.  Quickly gaining popularity, the chain expanded throughout the Rocky Mountain area.  Today the chain has approximately 11 locations that are now part of the Kroger corporation.  Shoppers who need to quickly obtain money orders for personal or business use are able to purchase a King Soopers money order at any location.  The money orders can be obtained by visiting the customer service department during normal business hours. King Soopers Money Order Policy

King Soopers provides money orders in conjunction with Western Union.  Any money order purchased at one of the chains grocery stores will have the Western Union logo and can be used only within the United States.  King Soopers money orders are sold to any person who is able to make a purchase using cash or, at most locations, a debit card.  Credit cards cannot be used to purchase a money order.








King Soopers Money Order Fees

Money orders are available in amounts up to $1,000.00.

The fee for money orders up to $500.00 is $0.65, and money orders that are  $500.01  to $1,000.00 are assessed a $1.00 fee.

If a money order is lost or stolen a refund can be processed as long as you have a receipt.  The processing fee for a refund is $15.00.

When a receipt is not available a $30.00 processing fee and a research request form needs to be completed.  In both cases the processing fee is nonrefundable.
